Peacock's Nest

Peacock's Nest is host to Paisley Peacock Body Arts.  Our mutual owner was the first henna artist in New England to offer this ancient art form to the public at festivals and events, way back in 1993.

Since then, we have expanded our portfolio to include glitter tattoos and face painting. We work with some of the best temporary body artists in the area, and can delight guests at events from a huge society wedding to a small design, just for fun.

All our henna is handmade in the store by us. We use only 100% organic, plant-based ingredients, from the henna powder we import to the essential oils we scent it with. We also sell the henna paste, powder, and kits we put together ourselves. We take great pride in providing only the best, fresh, deep and long-lasting materials.

Lauren's great passion is the history of henna body art, and she has spent countless hours in museums, studying medieval paintings and texts. If you're interested in learning the 3000 year-old history of henna, you can buy her book!
